‘At Shipston Home Nursing, we use Ilmington Village Hall for a number of fundraising events. One of our favourites is our pop up shop which takes place twice a year – a great opportunity for us to raise funds selling pre-loved clothes, and also to engage with the community and let people know more about our hospice at home charity. In our two day sale last October, we raised nearly £6000 which was a record for us. The hall is conveniently located and offers plenty of space – as well as great facilities for us to make tea and soup for our wonderful volunteers! We also serve teas for Ilmington Open Gardens in May which is another fantastic fundraiser for us – we love being in the heart of the village and last year sold almost 70 cakes. We’re very grateful to the village hall committee and the local community for their support.’
