The Trustees of the Village Hall have reviewed the recent Government guidance in respect of reopening community centres, and, given the limitations in the types of use allowed and the operating precautions that would be needed, it has been decided that the Hall should remain closed until the end of August when the situation will be reviewed once more.
In addition it is proposed to postpone the AGM until January 2021 when the Trustees should be in a better position to assess and report on the impact of the loss of bookings during the pandemic period.
If there are any concerns within the community about these arrangements, villagers are welcome to call Bryan Clifford on 01608 682996.
Village Hall Closed
Due to the current health restrictions imposed by the Government, the use of the hall for public use has been temporarily suspended.
Any bookings made will qualify for a refund of fees paid under the terms of the hiring agreement, single bookings will be refunded by direct payment into a notified account* in order to expedite this process. Unused multiple bookings may be credited and carried over to the next period - or, exceptionally, can be refunded as above.
Hirers should contact the Bookings Clerk (Nina Murchison - 01608 682527) to make arrangements and refunds will be actioned as soon as possible by the treasurer.
Thank you for using our village hall - we hope you will continue to do so after this unfortunate situation is resolved.
